“Music is part of me and my Life”, that’s what Darius Beinoravicius, DJ and Producer, known as M&D Substance usually says when asked about music. From a very early the age music was permanently in his head; melodies and rhythms, building, one after the other. Not long after that with his first sequencer, he began creating music. Starting off on Ejay2, it began as an experiment, but after a few years the experiment had worked and he was now developing his own sound and creating complex structured musical pieces. Darius joins a band of growing Eastern European producers who are influencing the global electronic music community and adding their own dimension to the ever growing music scene.

Helped by his DJ’ing, he began to create his own style, organising parties with a few friends, and soon he began producing alongside his friend Mantas, and this where the name M&D Substance comes from. Their first release was called “Walking Alone” and received great reactions and support from so top DJ´s and producers alike. They produced many releases after this and began refining their unique melodic and progressive house sound.

In 2009 Darius and Mantas decided to parted company as their individual sounds started to diverge. Darius, however kept the name and has continued to produce under the M&D Substance moniker, and when asked why, he answers “now M&D means Melodies and Drums!”

Darius, is now an accomplished DJ, working as resident DJ in Pacha Lithuania, and has played with many of the world’s tops DJs including Andy Moor, Sandy Rivera, Above & Beyond, Omid 16b and John Digweed to a name but a few.

His album “The Trip” reflects his melodic and diverse musical style, but showing his talents are not just confined to the dance floor but also in creating music which is both elegant and relaxing. His album “The Trip” with 11 tracks of deep, almost hypnotic and relaxing tracks, are just that. It’s a trip in to the personal soul of the producer, and he in turns brings alive the music that as he said earlier is part of him.......
